Over the past few months, we’ve been busy beavering away behind the scenes, working on ways we can make MyTimesheets even better.

While some of you may be aware of some of the changes we’ve made, many won’t, so we’ve decided to create a brief post with short videos showcasing some of the enhancements we’ve been working on.

We have also sent an email regarding these updates to all Full Admins to ensure everyone is fully informed. We have established a process whereby, in the future, we will send news of updates as they occur. We also have the green notifications button in MyTimesheets, where we will publish these updates.

We cover a lot of ground here so it is important to note that there is nothing in these updates that requires you to take any action (unless you need us to turn a feature on or provide training). They are merely enhancements that can be adopted if you feel there is value in doing so.

Each Item below has an associated video that includes a text summary. Simply click on the bold text to view it:

  1. Improvement to the way you handle Public Holidays, so you can automate how staff are paid, whether they are off or working.
  2. Enhanced Access Rights for Admins, where you can now control what an Admin can access or see.
  3. A way of Knowing Who Approved a Timesheet so you can see at a glance who approved the data.
  4. New way of Viewing the Roster so you can now view it for 7 or 14 days at a time.
  5. View Leave in a calendar view via the Roster Screen, even if you don’t want to use the rostering module.
  6. How we now display Inactive Cost Centres when running a report, which makes it easier to see Current vs Inactive Cost Centres, Jobs, Tasks etc
  7. Updated Pending Timesheet Report with better grouping and includes Declined Timesheets.
  8. Automate Calculations with Rules option, which allows for new ways to manage automatic calculation of overtime and allowances.
  9. New Time of Day Break Rule to assign a break at a time rather than after X hours worked.
  10. Modify the way Admins view data in Review Times so that each Admin can see the timesheet data in a preferred format.
  11. A way to Toggle the data under Review Times so you only see staff who have clocked.
  12. A new audit report, plus using Admin Notes and Admin Time Entry Tags, allows you to see who changed (added, edited, or deleted) an employee’s timesheet.
  13. Managing Leave and a New Leave Balances Export that shows each employee’s opening leave balance, less what has been entered for future dates, and the net balance.

Note: Some of these enhancements require our activation, so if you see something listed above but don’t have access, please don’t hesitate to ask us.

Also, you may need training on some of these items. If this is the case, please reach out to the team (successteam@timehub.co.nz or Ph 06 650 7297), and they will book you in.

There is No Charge for this training or to have one of these features turned on.
